Who opened the Biograd Boat Show 2019?

The Biograd Boat Show 2019 was kicked off with a speech from who else but the President of the Republic of Croatia, Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović! She spoke of how proud she was of the boat show for growing into one of the leading nautical fairs in Europe over the last twenty years, helping to significantly enrich Croatia’s tourism offer. She said ''Among the exhibitors, I'm particularly pleased with the numerous Croatian shipbuilders and manufacturers of marine equipment, and with my presence today I'd like to support this segment of Croatian industry.''

What was new?

This year was another record-breaking show, with all the showrooms selling out prior to opening and approximately 400 registered exhibitors offering seemingly unlimited marine services, aquatic accessories, and of course, beautiful boats. The show attracted more visitors and exhibitors from neighbouring countries and afar, as well as more Croatian boat owners, than ever before.

The Biograd Boat Show 2019 also saw a fourth Exhibition Hall (Hall D) added to host the Croatian Charter Expo, a two-day event for the yacht charter nautical segment. This was part of the four-day Biograd B2B event that ran parallel to the fair, offering the perfect place for industry visitors without exhibition space to network and book meetings with other participants.

Dazzling entertainment

Biograd Boat Show is famous for its incredible entertainment programme, setting the scene for exceptional networking and providing the perfect place to let your hair down after a long day of yacht tours. From concerts and fashion shows to art exhibitions and wine tasting, Biograd is about so much more than the yachts. A beautiful firework display in front of the Kornati West marina delighted visitors, and every evening the party continued downtown with an incredible range of food and performances. What better way to celebrate Croatia’s booming nautical industry?

Exciting world premieres

We witnessed the world premieres of some truly fantastic yachts at the Biograd Boat Show 2019. The Greenline 45 Fly offers high speeds and blissfully easy maneuverability, alongside the option of a hybrid technology to make the vessel more eco-friendly. Meanwhile the Pearlsea 40, the latest yacht model to come from the Pearlsea Yachts shipyard in Zagreb, wowed with her cockpit innovation. We saw the largest and most powerful Targa so far be brought to the market, appreciated the multi-award-winning Astrea 42 catamaran, and were amazed by the Galeon 650 Skydeck’s space distribution and functionality. We also fell in love with the ultra-sporty New Leader 33, enjoyed the outstanding performance of the Flyer 10, and were overjoyed to discover the exceptional nautical features of the latest vessel to come from the Beneteau Shipyard, the Oceanis 30.1.
